The Right Car and Rooftop Tent for a Self Drive Trip in Uganda
To enjoy a camping experience on a self drive safari, you should choose the right vehicle and rooftop tent. There are not so many vehicles compatible with a rooftop tent in our fleet.
The cars in our fleet hired with a rooftop tent are Land Cruiser Prado, land Cruiser V8, GX, and Land Cruiser Hardtop(C70’s).
One or two tents can be set up on the abovementioned land cruiser models apart from the Land Cruiser Prado which maximally carried one tent. There is also a family tent compatible with all the vehicles available for rooftop camping.
The normal rooftop tent accommodates two people whereas the family tent shelters three. You must inform us of the number of people you wish to travel with to advise on the kind of rootop tent to hire.
The tent on top of the car can easily be assembled and folded back in no time. It is safe and exhilarating to sleep up on the roof of the car since it is out of reach to predators and irritating ants that can possibly invade you while sleeping in the ground tent. The other merit of the rooftop tent is that it is cheaper than sleeping in the usual safari lodge.
